So who am I?

Well I'm Shannon.

Oh that wasn't specific enough?
Ok well the short version is I'm a NC born and breed, slightly spastic, nurse,  mommy and navy wife.

I met my husband Tim back in 2003 when I was a freshman in college working at Subway ( eat fresh!). He came in one night right at closing to get a bite to eat. I of course being the drama queen I am was slightly bothered that he came in that late, after I was all cleaned up and ready to go. But I guess my winning personality ( or the mustard on my work shirt?) won him over because he came back every day for 2 weeks until I finally took his phone number.  Luckily I have some good friends, because if it wasn't for them I never would have given the "goofy military guy"a call.  Yep I called him, and he hasn't been able to get rid of me since.

6 years later on  August 1, 2009 we were married only to be followed by a year seperation thanks to the Navy.

I guess I missed him a little bit because on January 6th 2011 we found out my eggo was preggo

So we welcomed our spunky little boy Ethan Andrew on September 7, 2011.

We also have a wonderful daughter Aubrey, from Tim's first marriage. Aubs is going to be a senior in high school in the fall and already looking at colleges. Wow I feel old.

Tim and I are so blessed with these two wonderful kiddos!

Still want more?

Since your still reading I'm guessing you want to know more.

Well I'm a pediatric oncology nurse at a childrens hospital. I get to hang out with amazing kids all day who are fighting for their lives and yet still have the courage to smile, laugh, and enjoy the little things in life.

Other then that I'm a huge goofball who is trying to enjoy life and live the American Dream- you know shopping, baseball, apple pie all that stuff.

If I had to describe myself in one  sentence
It would probably be " Hot mess by day, completely awesome by night."

So why did a start a blog?
I love to talk and meet new people, but I'm also a opinionated pain the the butt and sometimes people get sick of listening to me rant. So instead you get to read it on here. Yep nothings off limits. Stretch marks, weight loss drama, my opinion on pretty much every thing, the daily happenings of my life and a million photos of my family.

So grab a cup of coffee ( or tea, or whatever) sit down and enjoy my crazy life, because I know I am.
